As I kid, I liked to scroll through old photo albums with my parents, asking them all sorts of questions about what life was like back then. Who is that person holding me? What ever happened to that old TV? How long did aunty Helen rock a mullet for? I hope this blog could act as a time capsule for my life, to look back on and read someday, maybe with my future wife or future kids.
I started writing in my “Line a Day” memory book, in February 2021. Taking 5 minutes at the end of every day to reflect on the day and write a few lines about it. This small thing I started, turned into a habit and now I can’t imagine not doing it. It’s great for the present because you can put things into perspective, which I find really helps with my mindfulness. It’s also great for the future because you’ll look back and get some giggles, some perspective and some sweet nostalgia.
Getting too tired to write any more but wanted to get this up in running. Don’t have any intention on this being shared nationwide. Maybe some close friends will get a peak if I get happier with it. I also like the idea of having an online diary where I can be anonymous and get everything out of my messy brain.
Peace and love,
M
